A new fast food restaurant could be coming to Southend-on-Sea High Street. Dynamite Wings, which sells chicken wings with a variety of sweet and spicy sauces, already has four outlets in the south of England, including one in Romford.
Dynamite Wings says they are “all about serving banging chicken wings, smothered in your choice of sweet or spicy sauces”, according to their website. Their innovate chicken wings are served with a choice of 13 sauces, so there’s a flavour for everybody.
And for those with a sweeter tooth, there are nine different milkshakes on offer, as well as a range of 19 different types of doughnut. The restaurant also promises that their meat is 100 per cent halal.
The company has submitted an advertising consent application to the council. It follows several big brands which have opened or announced their intentions to open in Southend this year.
Wenzel’s the Bakers opened its doors on Southend High Street earlier in May, while Taco Bell is due to move into the new city later this year, alongside Wagamama, which if the application is approved, will be housed in the former Bella Italia just off the high street on London Road.
And it’s not just Southend that’s attracting new restaurants – in Chelmsford, Friday’s will be opening soon, as well as American chain Popeyes. And opening in both Southend and Chelmsford later this year are two Pan-Pacific restaurants, named ‘Zinnia’ – which will be the sister restaurants of the Pavilion Restaurant in Colchester.
