The Christmas experience organisers say is ‘packed with value’ with ticket prices from £30 to £75

Organisers of an Essex Christmas experience have explained what it is included in the ticket after prices were criticised by some parents. Marsh Farm Adventure Park in South Woodham Ferrers says it has added even more magic to its Christmas experience, with so much included in the price.

Tickets range from £30 to £75 for depending on the date. Under 1s go free, and organisers say you can easily spend a full day at the experience. Some Essex residents have claimed that the experience is too expensive. On Facebook, one person said the experience would “cost (me) and arm and a leg”. Another person said: “The price of Marsh Farm Father Christmas Experience is actually obscene this year.”

General manager Lucy Staab said the experience is “packed with value” and explained that prices have been frozen for three years. She said: “Families have loved this year’s experience. We’ve added more fun activities than ever before, while keeping our prices in-line with what they were in 2021.

“Prices have been frozen for three years, to ensure families struggling with already rising costs amid the cost of living crisis can still enjoy some well-earned festive fun. Our experience is packed with value, from teddy bear-making and live shows to a real ice rink and Christmas workshops.”

The experience has also been dubbed one of the best Christmas experiences in the UK by one TripAdvisor reviewer, and organisers say it is better than ever this year. After passing through the elves in Passport Control, visitors’ festive journey will begin at the Elf Academy, where you will have a chance to be inducted as an honorary elf.

Next, you’ll head into the Snow Show, and then experience the delights of Mother Christmas’ kitchen – where she may even share her sweet treats with everyone! For the main attraction, you’ll sit tightly until your name is called to meet Father Christmas himself in the Grotto and see who has made the Naughty and Nice lists.

Finally, little ones can visit the teddy bear market where you can choose and make your own cuddly toy to take home with you. A spokesperson from Marsh Farm said: “For their ticket price, families expect a lanyard and “boarding pass”, along with collecting special star badges throughout your journey through the experience. You will also get a Father Christmas Experience-branded bag, a real ice rink, live interactive shows, a jingle wand and a gingerbread decorating workshop.

“You can also make your own Christmas-themed teddy bear, such as a snowman, reindeer or gingerbread man – which you get to take home with you – your own bauble, children’s fairground rides and indoor soft play.

“Outside of the Christmas experience, your entry to the farm is included in the Christmas experience price. You can see the animals, enjoy the outdoor play areas, and more fun of the farm!”

Parent Elizabeth Giddings said after visiting Marsh Farm: “It’s the best Christmas experience we’ve ever done. There was so much to do. We were so impressed with the effort that had gone into the experience and the many activities and goodies that were included. The ice skating was great too.”

There are still some tickets left for the Christmas period, and you can book your slot here.
