TOWIE stars Shelby and Sam announce birth of healthy baby boy

The Only Way is Essex stars Shelby Tribble and Sam Mucklow have become parents to a “beautiful baby boy”.

Sam took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to announce Shelby has given birth after five days in an Essex hospital.

He described his partner as a “soldier” and said the new mum and baby were both well after a “not straightforward” labour.

In the post to his Instagram story, which was shared by Shelby, Sam said: “Thank you all for your lovely messages wishing @shelbytribble and myself good luck.

“So many beautiful people out there honestly overwhelming thank you all.

“Shelby and our beautiful baby boy are both well and healthy. Shelby didn’t have a straightforward labour so she has been in hospital for five days today. She has been an absolute soldier.

“Also need to thanks all of the doctors, nurses, midwives in antenatal, labour and postnatal at Queens hospital Romford.

“So many lovely staff we are so lucky to have the @nhsengland.”

The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in May, with both captioning their posts: “Something fantastic is making us glad, we’re changing our names to Mum and Dad”.

They have been keeping fans updated throughout Shelby’s pregnancy with regular videos on Instagram.

They shared an adorable clip from their gender reveal party and posted a photo of a baby seat in the back of their car – including a sticker saying ‘coming soon’.

Former Miss Great Britain Shelby recently confessed she had been struggling since entering her third trimester.
