The North Essex Economic Board (NEEB) has launched the new Young Entrepreneurs Programme, a groundbreaking initiative designed to support and inspire the next generation of business leaders in Essex. This programme aims to provide young people, aged between 13-30, with the essential tools, knowledge, and exposure needed to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.
Programme Highlights:
- Expert Start-Up Mentorship: Participants will receive tailored guidance from experienced business advisors, offering critical insights and strategies to navigate the early challenges of entrepreneurship. Participants can benefit from access to dedicated learning programmes tailored to each age group.
Spanning from training for young people still in education, this includes the Earniversity ‘Fast Track Challenge’ for 13-18 year olds which teaches aspiring entrepreneurs how to start and grow a business online, and access to Rebel+ Business School for 16-30 year olds, which covers all essential business skills from legal and finance, to marketing and sales.
- Market Trader Support: Young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to test their products and services in real market conditions, gaining valuable exposure and insights in to what it takes to become a successful young market trader and grow their business at local market. Support for young market traders includes 20 free annual memberships to the National Market Trader Federation, and 25 £200 grants to help them get started in seed funding.
- Celebrating Young Entrepreneurs Event: A dynamic networking event at Braintree Plaza taking place on May 21 2025, participants of the Young Entrepreneurs programme can connect with fellow entrepreneurs, share ideas, and gain expert insights from industry leaders while learning about ongoing support for businesses available in North Essex.
