As wind speeds increase, a speed limit will be put in place, but there is currently no plan to close the bridge.
Highways England announced the restrictions on Twitter.
They wrote: “Wind speeds will pick up this evening, we will be keeping the bridge open but under a reduced 40mph speed limit from around 18:30 tonight to midnight. Please ensure you drive to the speed limits.”
There is also a risk of high winds tomorrow with the warning in force until 9am.
Highways England have also said that there is a chance the bridge will have a lower speed limit tomorrow.
They tweeted: “We have another wind risk period tomorrow from 10am to 2pm where we will be looking to keep the bridge open but reduce the speed limit on the bridge to 40mph.
“Will confirm the timings tomorrow morning.”
