Martin Kemp is returning to Colchester at the start of next year with his popular 80s-themed party. The Spandau Ballet bassist is coming to Charter Hall in January for a fun singalong event which he describes as having a ‘euphoric atmosphere’.
Martin will be spinning the decks with plenty of 80s classics that attendees are bound to know every word of. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best 80s outfits and party the night away (although themed outfits are not mandatory).
It’s not the first time that ‘Martin Kemp’s Back to the 80s Party’ has been in the city, but it was so popular before that Colchester Events is delighted to announce its return. Described as an ‘unstoppable singalong’, the event is for over 18s only and is expected to be a sell-out.

Martin previously spoke about his event on ITV’s This Morning where he said: “It’s amazing! People absolutely lose themselves, singing to every word. It’s the most euphoric atmosphere I have ever been in, in my life!”
Leander Morales from music promotions company Gm3|Music said: “Dig out those 80`s clothes, grab your dancing shoes, and prepare to enjoy a night of pure ‘Gold!’ 80s dress code not necessary but always welcome! Spread the word, invite your friends, families and work colleagues. This is the perfect way to party into 2023! With another sell-out expected, be sure to secure your tickets before it’s too late!”
Martin Kemp’s Back to the 80s Party is taking place at Charter Hall, Colchester on January 28. Tickets are available to book now and cost £22.50. You can book yours here.
