Snow has hit parts of Essex this afternoon as temperatures continue to fall.
After days of sunshine and temperatures reaching the low 20s last week, the weather has once again turned.
Yesterday, a intermittent period of snow across areas of Essex like Braintree hit in the morning, before once again warming up later in the day.
In a similar pattern, residents have also spotted periods of snow in neighbourhoods across the county again today.
Leigh-On-Sea was hit by a short but heavy flurry of snow this afternoon, as well as in Braintree earlier today.
The BBC forecast predicted possible lows of -3 in Leigh-on-Sea today with temperatures really dropping over night.
Chelmsford is also predicted to see sleet showers later this evening at around 7pm as temperatures continue to drop into the night.

The BBC has also predicted snow showers at a similar time in Basildon with lows of -3.
The cold snap comes just days after a heatwave across England – including the UK recording its warmest March day in 53 years last Tuesday with 24.5C according to MyLondon.
It looks as if we will have to endure a few chillier days before temperatures begin to rise again.
