Man rushed to hospital with stab wounds to his head

A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Romford.

Metropolitan Police has confirmed they were called at 7.23pm to reports of an assault in Clockhouse Lane.

A man had suffered stab injuries to his head and hand – he has been taken to an east London hospital.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 19:23hrs on Sunday, January 3 to reports of a man assaulted in Clockhouse Lane, Romford.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A man in his 20s was taken to an east London hospital with stab injuries to his head and hand. We await an update on his condition.

“Officers are working to establish the circumstances of the incident. No arrests have been made.”
