I’m 24 but I’ve already booked my covid vaccine for 3 days time

Anyone aged between 23 and 24-years-old has been told by the Prime Minister that they can officially book their Covid-19 vaccine from tomorrow.

We heard this just over an hour ago as Boris Johnson announced a delay to the end of lockdown – and yet, as a 24-year-old myself, I am already booked up for both my jabs.

For the last week or so, I have been eyeing up the NHS booking website every morning, checking to see if by some luck it would say I was suddenly able to book up my jabs.

It’s effectively been like the countdown to Christmas, with all the anticipation and excitement for the big day – all that’s been missing is the advent calendar and the decorations.

As soon as Boris Johnson announced this evening we had been given the go-ahead, I wrote up an article on it and immediately checked out the website.

Usually I only get a few steps in and I am swiftly told I am still too young to book for them yet.

Just moments after the announcement that the booking system would open from tomorrow for my age group, however, I found out I could already book.

Unbelievably, in just three days time I will be having my first jab of the Covid-19 jab, with my second booked in for August.

It is so important that we book in our Covid-19 jabs, not just for ourselves, but crucially for everyone else around us too.

We know that the vaccine is highly effective against hospitalisation from the Delta variant too, according to Public Health England, meaning it is even more important we get booked for our jabs now.

It is definitely worth checking the website this evening if you are aged between 23 and 24 to see if you can book ahead of the rush tomorrow.
