There’s nothing quite like a trip to the seaside, topped off with a helping of Britain’s favourite – a classic fish and chips.
Combine that with the number of fabulous beaches we have across our county and you’re really onto a winner of a day out.
Or even a night in, with so many mouth-watering chippies throughout our Essex towns and villages.
Residents are certainly spoilt for choice when it comes to dinner time, with a whole host of venues serving delicious cod, scampi, saveloy, battered sausage – you name it, they’ve got it.
With that in mind, we’re asking our readers to vote for their local chip shop and let us know some of their favourites from across Essex.
To help find out where is the best place to grab a bite to eat, we’ve launched a survey asking EssexLive readers to shout out the shop they think sells the yummiest fish and chips.
We also took to our Facebook page and asked the question directly to the people, with nearly 400 of you showing out to have a say in the all-important debate.
A number of readers voted for Bruno’s Fish & Chips in Canvey Island, with others voting for Mr Fish Galleywood in Chelmsford.
