A patient has been rushed to an emergency department after a medical emergency in Essex.
Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Southend to attend a medical emergency of a male patient earlier this afternoon (March 29).
Ambulance crews also attended the scene to work alongside the air ambulance team to help the patient.
An air ambulance was seen landing in Southend Seaway car park, nearby to the incident.
Essex and Herts Air Ambulance confirmed that the patient is undergoing treatment.
A spokesperson said: “On 29th March 2021 an Essex & Herts Air Ambulance was tasked to assist EEAST, with a male patient medical emergency. Teams worked together on scene to optimise patient outcome.
“The patient was transferred to the Emergency Department for ongoing treatment.”
