A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car on an Essex road.
Emergency services rushed to the B1051 in Thaxted, Essex, yesterday afternoon following reports of a road traffic collision (Saturday, June 5).
Upon arrival, firefighters and paramedics were met with a motorcyclist who required medical attention after his motorbike collided with a car.
Essex and Herts Air Ambulance was also in attendance to ensure the casualty obtained the medical assistance they required.
Firefighters at Thaxted Fire Station thanked members of the public who stopped and came to the assistance of the casualty prior to their arrival.

A spokesperson at Thaxted Fire Station said: “We were mobilised to a car vs motorcycle RTC on the B1051.
“Upon arrival, we found one casualty needing medical assistance but we were quickly joined by The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
“We worked to make the scene safe and support the paramedics and doctors.
“We thank the members of the public who stopped and came to the assistance of the casualty prior to our arrival.”
